What do you think of others' use of speakerphone when their conversations are loud and disruptive? ~

I'm not referring to your own use of it, I mean when as a third party, you are subjected to having to listen to such a conversation.

  • Haven't had that happen and I only use speakerphone when I have to take my pills or something and I'm talking to someone. I just hang up when people do those things to me but it's rare that I get them.

I don't want to hear the telephone conversations of others.  Using speakerphone in public is someone who's saying "look at me."  I don't even want to hear one side of a phone conversation, especially on public transportation or in a place where I cannot get away from it.

I agree. There are a lot of people at my workplace who either initiate or accept phone calls ONLY on speakerphone, and their annoying conversations can be heard up and down the hallways. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Happens in my office, too and I keep closing their doors.  They don't like it, but there's nothing they can do about it.

Why, I think it's delightful! I assume that you didn't ask a question just to state your opinion and get others to agree.

It worked! (Pssst, I'll call you later on speakerphone to discuss it, just don't tell anyone, ok? In the meantime, just keep up your deeply undying infatuation of me.)

You've got it all backwards, Baby: I'm a living dream to the whole world . . . hey, what's this, what's going on? Don't tell me you have my number blocked in your phone! Grrrrrrrrr!
