Firing the person who is investigating you PROVES you have something hide and fear its disclosure. Why is it legal for ANYONE to do so?

  • Director Comey proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he was and is incompetent in the post he has held. That became obvious by his strange behavior and pronouncements prior to the election.

You didn't respond to the question I asked driftwood. Why? Happy Friday.

I agree something is highly suspicious here.  Trump was praising him when he was going after Hilary.

I know this is speculation on my part, but what if Comey was about to disclose a little more than just what he knows about Russia.  What if he was about to admit he went after Hilary after a huge endorsement/payment from his new, potential boss?  Just a thought.

Merely firing him wouldn't shut him up; it would cause him to blab.  Look at what Yates just got through doing this week, testifying her butt off.

    :)

No. I don't think so. Here's what appears to have happened. Comey went to his boss and asked for more money and staff so that he could expand the Trump/Russia/Collusion investigation. He ALSO told members of the Senate/Congress about that request . I believe he was fired the next day PeaPod. Getting too close to the truth. Comey also refused to sign a Loyalty Pledge which Trump apparently requires everyone he hires to sign. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday!

I agree Rosie the more I look at this.  He was poking in places that a boss don't want an employee poking.

    Have a great Friday.

Didn't ol' Bill & Hill' have someone killed to keep him from revealing their dirt?  I'm sure that's not legal either. Well, not for mere peasants like us, at least.

The last Prez to fire both a key investigator AND the Attorney General did so in the "Saturday Night Massacre" in 1973. How did that work out for him?
