You're probably right, nobodylair.37. I guess I asked just in general because I was thinking about the song. (Maybe some sociopaths don't cry?)

I think those who don't cry in tears cry in other less obvious ways..

No.  I don't cry on a daily basis but I miss people who are no longer here and sometimes it is overwhelming.

Thanks for your answer, Thriftymaid. My best to you always.

Silly me - -  I only now realize my question is potentially emotion-laden. I guess I was thinking more of the song than than the actual words, crazy as that sounds (since the song itself is exactly about that).

I don't cry a lot but, lately, tears of joy come quicker to me than those of sadness. That can be a good thing, maybe.
    :)
    Thanks, MorningStar.

Seriously, within the humour of your answer, I agree wholeheartedly with all of your answer.

(I hope my no-sandwich-bags image didn't hurt you.)

Thanks for sharing, WingedWonder. Healing each of our inner ones --  a worthy act for sure. I wish you the best in your journey, as always.

I can relate to much of what you shared, too. It's funny how funny that we with hurt inner children can often still be funny and find humour in life.
    :)
I think those of us in tune with our younger selves, hurt though they may be, can, as adults, also find that humour of a child within, yes. You certainly possess humour.

    You're welcome, WingedWonder.
Thanks for your continuation of your thoughts. I read your above-comment hours and hours ago and smiled  - - and forgot to respond.
I think so many, many times we do get each other, yup! And that's a good thing!

Geez -- if this song were to be re-released today, it'd be better than 90% of the music I'm hearing these past couple of weeks on the radio. I loved it. I've not heard this song before.

Did one of these brothers die tragically at a relatively young age? Or am I confusing them with another group?

And rainy weather is my favorite type of weather, so unlike you and these brothers, I'd be most likely smiling in the rain. and crying in the hot sun.
    :)

    Thanks, Alf!

  • You must be confusing them with another group.  Phil died when he was 74 and Don is still alive.
Jan & Dean separated and the group became Jan & Arnie, when the Armed Forces took Dean, but Jan & Dean both lived past retirement age.
Sorry I can't help you, but somebody here will know. :)

    Hi ProblemChild!
I could say it, too, and I, too, would be lying.

Thanks for answering, pearl! Good to see you! For me, it depends almost on the moment, it seems, if I end up crying.
