Not really, Comey was his best bud until the Clinton investigation fizzled (nothing to investigate) and he started doing his job on His Royal Orangeness. Trump wasn't having that, he doesn't want anybody finding anything actionable against him even by accident. The timing is what is fishy - apparently the guy is incompetent but if that's the case he should have been fired in January, not now.
