Do you watch that show? She is in love with that gay Captain, Steve Trevor. She's a faghag.*
* note: I am in NO way denigrating the gay community. This was a term affectionately applied to me when I spent all my time with men who liked men. (they were safe and I drank at the time and knew they would protect me without having to worry)

Just because it was "affectionately applied to you" doesn't completely diminish its offensiveness. There are plenty of black people who use the "n-word", either when referring to themselves or others, and some of them vehemently defend its use. The fact that some black people do that does not diminish the offensiveness of that word either. There are plenty of women who use the "b-word, c-word, or the tw-word", either when referring to themselves or others, and some of them vehemently defend their use. The fact that some women do that does not diminish the offensiveness of those words.
No need and no brainer. Some people wish to drag others down to a level thy feel they are at themselves. I've long since learned not to offended by words but just because I am not does not give me the right to use them without disrespectful.
