What are the advantages, if any, of a double-barreled shotgun over a pump-action shotgun? ~

  • I always liked my Browning side by side but I guess the allure of a pump shotgun is more rounds in the chamber for quicker shots. But I was always of the thought that if I couldn't hit something with two shots? I shouldn't be there anyway!   ~ ~

  • I've heard ... that the weight of the extra barrel cuts down the recoil.

    Good point. It seems it would also cut down on the wobbling if and when aimed in on a target for an extended period of time.
