I've seen many cars sitting along the highway that were totally engolfed in flames. Many of these burning cars are due to Not Keeping Your Oil Level Up.
Ditto. I have road service with my car insurance as well as with the dealership where I bought the car. Theoretically, I know how to change a tire, but why should I? Truth is - I've never had a flat tire while on the road.
Yes, but perhaps for an additional reason than actually knowing how to do something that may never be necessary.
I recently was riding with a woman with a new car. She was having trouble backing up. I asked her if she had the brake on. Her reply: "How would I know that? I pointed the brake out and then how to disengage it.
It seemed to me that she was perhaps a little afraid of the car she was driving. If she showed similar signs of distress while learning how to change its tire, that might be an indicator that she could use a little focused education to prevent some real problems in the future while operating such "machinery."
You know something, I never see any 16 year old drivers. Ever. Do they exist?
