A friend asked me to play this recording at his funeral. Can you have it played at mine?

~ I seriously am considering on having this specific video of Enya's song with lyrics shown as the only music -- if I even have a service
~ I love the song, the lyrics and this artwork.

Okay.  You are going to party your way out of here then?

I'm not partying out of her anytime soon.
Or is that directed at Enya's kick-a** party music sound! (Sarcasm here, yes!

I do, too. I'm beginning to think you and I are linked somehow to the same "out"let.
    :)

The first time I heard this song I thought, "This is more than just someone walking home to their house at night."

Few voices, if any, are better than Mercury's! Excellent!
    :)

I'm glad you liked Enya's song, too.

I like both of those songs!
    :)
As much as I like Norman Greenbaum's original version of the song, I liked the Dr and the Medics cover to "Spirit in the Sky!" The drummer is cute to me, too. After I listened to the song, Dr and the Medics's cover to ABBA's "Waterloo" came on --  I liked that, too!

Greenbaum built that fuzz box in his garage, using a de-tuned valve amp. Hence the pops, whistles and general feedback issues. I'm usually all for originals over covers, but in this case Dr & The Medics had overdrive and distort pedals to generate that sound without the feedback. The song was too early, the technology didn't exist in 1969.

    Wow! I never knew that!
And my ears haven't been in tune enough to decipher what you have! Cool!
