Try editing it to "If you BLAME others...."

Because THAT is precisely when "they" stop listening.  To you or to anyone who tries to lay blame at anyone else's feet.

Okay, let's not get into examples that have to do with justifiably blaming someone.   If they kill someone, they need to be accountable.  I am talking about just judging someone; not judging them because they broke some law.

I mean for example:   I don't like the lady next door because she drives a Porche' or she voted for Trump, or she talks real loud -- or something that is a personal dislike.   (I have no neighbor like this, thank GOD)

If you blame another, then you have more often than not, lost your listener.   Or, better still, when you point a finger at someone else, you still have the other three of your own pointing back at you. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at June 5, 2017 3:10 PM MDT

Assignment of blame is frequently necessary.  It is also the basis of our justice system.  Proper identification of responsibility is essential for effective response.

I am an expert in the assignment of causation---it is essential for scientific advancement.

Prosecutors have to be experts in the assignment of blame.

Preision of thought is essential in life.
