Link: http://www.playbuzz.com/larak10/what-country-in-the-world-best-fits-your-personality#half Me: France You are a romantic who enjoys strolling through cobblestone streets and markets. You are inspired by art and architecture, and thrive being surrounded by other artists and intellectuals. You enjoy the bustle of a city, but also love spending time in the warm countryside, sitting at a cafe, and having a glass of wine or coffee. Both Iceland as Björk are worth to watch and listen, to experience. :-)

    The result was Dubai:

    Dubai
"You are an individual who enjoys the finer things in life, and love to surround yourself with beautiful things. You have a deep appreciation for urban architecture, and thrive best in a city that gives you the highest of nightlife, cuisine, and entertainment. You believe life is to be enjoyed to the fullest, but have no problem working hard to obtain what you want. You in fact take pride in working hard, and like to climb in your career. Others would perhaps describe you as a modernist, who appreciates culture and diversity, but enjoys the comforts of a superbly decorated home and clean living space. You are an urban dweller and like to enjoy a city where others share your passion for hard work and fine living. There is a deeper side to you however, and you find meaning in conversation about fine art, travel, and culture".

Some of that description does fit me quite well, but most people wouldn't describe me as a "modernist" because I love old buildings and it annoys the heck out of me when they are destroyed and replaced by modern monstrosities. My idea of a superbly decorated home would look like it was built, decorated and furnished in 1877, not 1977.

Each era has its thing. I agree it's a shame if we destroy all our history. :-)

  • I took the quiz. Unfortunately many of the answers I would have given were not offered as options, so I did the best I could and got France like you did.

I've been to France (only Paris), I like the place and its people, but I don't think France would define my personality. I've been reflecting on this over the last few days (yes, it's quite a thought-provoking question), and I keep "coming back" to India. Indian is what I am, and, I suppose, Indian is what I'd like to  remain.

Unless your (very nice) question intended us to name a country other than our own .. ?.

There's no other intends than sharing a fun quiz and to see which country we each get by making our choices. I got several of these quizzes here as inside the adultMug. Some like them, some think they are boring, not relevant, stupid and what is. I think is fun to think of us as a country. I'll most likely not be any French even having ancestors from France. I do like the description given for the country inside the quiz. I do like those given for other countries as well. Welcome as France, joining those of us being the same. And it's okay you think of yourself as India. Did you read the description of your country?

  • I can't find the way to read about any other country without going through the quiz. How does one do it?

    Please help.

Oh. I don't know that either. There was a reply inside this question where someone got India. I've copied the text for you here:

    India
You are driven in life by the search for meaning and have a passion for culture and religion. You are a deeply spiritual person who thrives in an environment where people question their existence and devote themselves to a higher sense of being. You enjoy a stimulating environment and do best when you are challenged, mentally, and spiritually. You see life as an adventure and enjoy conversing with others on the big philosophical questions of life. Whether you are spending time in a bustling market, or meditating in a quiet garden, you are nourished by a society that is devoted to serving others.

France?   I take it you are not going anywhere near Nice then?

I would stay far away for now.

    South India.

It's the quiz result I got, Sharonna. I doubt an eventful next target in France will be Nice again. It is a lovely city, but as I wrote I do love Paris... Also after it's been targeted several times. I won't let terrorists dictate ME and MY life.

Talking about safe places, I'm not sure India would be on my list. I would love visiting some of the great cultural places but with the safety for women... Not.

    Iceland

You are a complex individual who is drawn to breathtaking and unique environments. You thrive best in colder climates and enjoy bundling up and being active outside. You are always up for an adventure and have to explore your surroundings. You are an avid hiker and risk taker, and do best when you are surrounded by people who are game for a camping trip. You enjoy roughing it, and like to surround yourself with others who share that passion. You have a spiritual and intellectual side too, and can enjoy deep conversation with almost anyone around you. You have an appreciation for good books and are an avid music collector. You have a solid work ethic but believe life is to be enjoyed, and thrive best in a culture that challenges you, both in its terrain and on an intellectual level.

I have to admit I'm not such a fan of camping, though :)

What a fascinating result. Iceland is a great place if you like nature. Their geysers are spectacular. :-)

I admit I smiled at my result. I've known for a long time that I'd love to visit Iceland.  The description of me is not completely accurate but it's still fun - - I'm not so much a fan of roughing it, I think, but I do take risks, among other things mentioned in the description. Many are quite true!

    :)

  • Too funny ... New Zealand ... Just across the pound ...
You are an adventurous individual who enjoys being outdoors and spending time being active. You are a risk taker and have no problem striking up a conversation with a total stranger. When you travel you love to get to know the locals, and their customs, and are always up for a challenge. You thrive in a culture where others share your deep appreciation for land, and believe life is best lived outdoors. You love a hard hike, but also love the water and are happy to spend a day beach side. You thrive in a society with diversity and appreciate a simpler way of living. You are keen on learning about cultures and customs that are different than your own, and enjoy a deep conversation, whether it be philosophical or spiritual. You are not a city dweller by any means, and definitely believe that life is something to explore and experience firsthand. This country gives you endless opportunities to live both an active lifestyle and enjoy the company of new found friends.
