Is Diane Abbott the only female MP who wants to be judged soley on her appearance?

Most female MPs complain about being judged on their appearance, but her recent appearance on the BBC's Andrew Marr show, where she repeatedly answered questions on comments she had made about the IRA in 1989 by talking about her hairstyle, must be the first recorded case of a woman in Parliament who wants to be judged only on her appearance, and doesn't want to talk about politics. She could set the women's rights cause back 200 years! What do you think?
I will post a link, for those who don't know the story.

She cannot set it back 200 years.  Sara Palin already did that. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at June 6, 2017 10:23 AM MDT

She's a bit of a disaster isn't she... it's not helpful.. I appreciate that whatever we say women especially, and people in general do seem to be judged by appearance and clothes.. and I think, right or wrong, many women seem conditioned to accept  or expect or tolerate comments about their clothing...it's hard to say which is first chicken or egg..

Like.. on my course.. we all had to sit around on the last day and say something about each other.. I was told I am warm and helpful and always funny.. I am ok with that.. Another lady got two comments about her clothing.. that she is always immaculately dressed... To be fair she is, but so is another lady and i felt it was rather a superflous comment as I felt there were better things to say about her.. she's a lot of fun, she's caring and I love how she talks.. SO i felt it was odd...to be noted for the clothes you wear.. but thing is.. she was happy with the compliment.. and didnt see it in any way offensive..

So I think it's a bit that women can be conditioned to expect and feel the need to be noticed or have comments on their clothing.

Evasiveness is right. As everyone knows, I was having a bit of pre-election fun with this question, but there is a serious point. I hate to see politicians dodging questions in this manner, whether it's Tim Farren on gay sex, Corbyn and Abbott on the IRA, or whatever.
As for the election result, my reaction is, not another f***ing coalition!

The woman's' an idiot, an ex-lover of Jeremy Corbyn, they were literally in bed together with their views on the IRA. This post was edited by Pepper Pot at June 7, 2017 8:54 AM MDT

There is definitely something creepy about their evasiveness over the IRA, Pepper.

    Couldn't agree more Harry.
Now the Conservatives have a coalition with the DUP, (rolls eyes). Will it be a "coalition of chaos?" we'll have to wait and see.
It was funny when that chap said to Theresa May "Not so much "Strong and Stable," as "Weak and wobbly." This post was edited by Pepper Pot at June 12, 2017 3:02 PM MDT
