How old is the oldest book that you currently own?

    I have a paperback copy of Henry Hazlitt's "Economics in one lesson" printed in 1948. The spine is broken and it's falling apart. That's the lesson - buying old paperbacks for a few pence off the internet is a false economy! :)

  • It's a book of children's stories, it was printed in the 1950's. It even has a story in that was banned in the 60's.

    I love it LyricalOne! Where did you get it?  I'd love to have a copy.  I am excited too that they included The Case of the Girl who was shot in her Stupid Face!

    I'm going to guess these are the oldest I have.
    They certainly aren't as old as Harry's books by a long shot but they are pretty much up there.
    Mine are children's books that my mom read to us and have been passed down to me.
    The oldest, I think is The Tale of Peter Rabbit By Beatrix Potter 1902
    The next would be The velveteen rabbit By Margery Williams 1922
    The last would be The Little Prince By Antoine de Saint-Exupery 1944
