Are humans intellectually limited or un? Is there a limit to what one can learn or not? How do we KNOW?

I know that IQ is limiting. That is to say if your IQ is 80 chances are you will not succeed at being a nuclear physicist. But if you are a genius is there any limit to what you are capable of creating/perceiving/comprehending/understanding?
