For service technicians and providers who go into people's homes as part of their jobs, what is the percentage of male to female customers?

50/50
Female, under 50%, male over 50%
Female 60%, male 40%
Female 75%, male 25%
Female 85%, male 15%
Female 90%, male 10%
Female 95%, male 5%

I am home from work today for such a visit, my wife is away. It occurred to me that she has very rarely been the one to be in the house when someone is present to do some work. In fact, she prefers that I be the one. The technician or provider may not know if a man or a woman will be waiting, which prompted my curiosity in posting this.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

I can't answer this from a technician side, but I think your situation is probably the norm. When my marriage was "good," my ex set up most appointments around his schedule and he managed that stuff. Now, it's just me, so I do it all. I bet in households where a male is present- even in cohabitating situations, the man probably does handle the majority of in-home appointments, but it's probably closer to a 50/50 split with customers overall.

I would imagine it's about 50/50.  During my career our techs and repairmen had lots and lots of funny stories to offer about the customers who greeted them on service calls.  The funniest ones involved how the customer was dressed, or the lack of dress.  There are some desperate folks out there.

I'm the tech and it's about 75% female. Either she doesn't work, works fewer hours than her partner, earns less per hour or is a single parent.
