I suspect I share your thinking on this one... but yes, I too have encountered people who seem not to want to hear facts that might shake what they think they know.. and people who don't want to grow, learn and be better people...
I can only think it is a limited intelligence.... that they are unable to know and realise how little they know... so because of this they don't see the need to expand and learn and grow. They are content in their little pond going round and round, everything the same.. nothing new
I think fear has a lot to do with it as well Addb. They are so afraid that their views/beliefs won't stand up to scrutiny they block anything that doesn't support them. Period. That way they can stay content/happy in their own little world. Labeling things they don't like "FAKE NEWS" or "HOAX" satisfies them. Truth frightens them. Sadly.
