Do people still use these clock radios? How about a wall clock in the kitchen?

  • I don't use either. I'm guessing those 'freaks' who still have landlines do though.

No clock-radios (I never understood why that would be desirable). But I do have 2 electric clocks, one of them doubled as my alarm clock back when I went to work every day.

  • I have a clock radio. I got rid of the wall clock, could not tolerate the ticking.

I just bought a wall clock for the kitchen for under $25 from Amazon.  It makes absolutely no noise at all.  I love it.

Both. In fact, we still have the exact model of clock radio that you show in the photo, it's in the guest bedroom. In the master bedroom, I have a different version. Throughout the house, we must have about 5 or 6 wall clocks. I even have a wood-burning microwave oven.

I'm not giving up my stuff, so there.

"Wood-burning" microwave doesn't work when the words are hyphenated and used as an adjective. But, getting a microwave to burn wood is quite possible

Sorry, Jamie, but after watching that youtube video you sent me, my two choices were to give in and stalk you or remain back a respectable distance.

I will try for distance.  If I feel myself failing, I will post a warning to you.   (LOL)

I don't get a cell signal in my house so I am forced to have a landline Jaimie.

Yeah, I have one clock radio too.  :-(   I don't know why.  I don't use it.  It's in the guest bedroom.

I also have a very pretty wall clock in my kitchen.  It goes with the decor. :-(

Yeah.  I'm old. This post was edited by Harry at June 25, 2017 8:23 PM MDT

I have a landline, I have a kitchen wall clock and I have two clock radios.  That is because the iPhone I don't have is not grafted to the palm of my hand.

I expect the wood need to be fairly fresh to burn well, with out a bit of sap or wetness there would be nothing for the microwawes to latch onto and heat up.

Never used one, myself, but if you want to be woken up by the radio, why the hell not?
