Do you predate a form when you admit you were an agent of a foreign government? You LIED then. How does admitting the lie today make it OK?

Does that get you off the hook for LYING yesterday?  All it does is acknowledge what you didn't do when you were supposed to do it.  Do you predate a form to conform to what you should have done when you should have done it? I don't get the purpose. Do you?

Admitting the lie doesn't make it okay but the Justice Department rarely prosecutes such cases.Too many other fish to fry so they'll typically settle for compliance. So yeah, it kinda does get a person off the hook.
