If it has more than one dimension, I'm lost. Actually, many machine shops use multi dimensional computer controlled cutting machines now. Remember that show on TV called 'American Choppers'? That big ape named Paul Senior had one of those machines.
My understanding of quantum computers is that they operate under the same basic principles as existing computers but faster. So, writing software for quantum computers is not fundamentally different than writing software for other kinds of computers.
Yes. We will probably need less people in the workforce to do the work of the computers today, but the vast superiority of quantum computers will make today's computing look like a joke.
