Well, if you ever change your mind, then there will be 5 people who have actually been there.

Many years. It's a state I could go without ever having to drive through again. There's a lot of dust in the wind there.

I believe the term godforsaken was invented because of this place.

I don't think you missed much.  I heard that is the place where Christ lost his sandal.

  • "Can't say as I remember, but I have been there."

The four reasons people go to Kansas ...

    1. To get to Colorado
    2. To get to Nebraska
    3. To get to Missouri
    4. To get to Oklahoma.

Think about it.  Besides Colorado?  The other choices are even WORSE than Kansas!!!!

  • I don't agree ...
The eastern half of Colorado looks just like Kansas ... only higher.
Oklahoma is kind of a rolling Kansas ... you know, different altitudes!
But Nebraska and Missouri have trees.  Kansas trees look like this ...

Oh come on. I would give all them states the brush off besides Colorado.  I'll admit I have not been everywhere in Colorado, but the area around Denver and the Rockies is really heavenly.

    Them trees is purty.

  • The western half of Colorado is where all their postcards come from, true, but Denver is a weather-beaten town ... and it shows. Not near enough money is spent on maintenance and their freeway system (design) is tragic.

Ever since my youth, I dreamed of going to Colorado to see all that beauty. I was pretty disappointed ... at least in the eastern half of the state. I did get a kick out of seeing the Big Rock Candy Mountain ... just north of I-70. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at August 17, 2017 9:14 AM MDT

Interesting, Alf.  I have not been there in decades now.  I was last there in the late 80's.  So, that is sad to note.

Maybe that is why they legalized weed there to build up the economy again.  I'm sure that was a nice fortifying shot in the financial arm.

  • Maybe their recent topless areas will help in that regard as well. :))

  • Not in the Denver area. It's in the suburbs ... Ft Collins, for one, I think.
