I don't agree ... The eastern half of Colorado looks just like Kansas ... only higher. Oklahoma is kind of a rolling Kansas ... you know, different altitudes! But Nebraska and Missouri have trees. Kansas trees look like this ...
Oh come on. I would give all them states the brush off besides Colorado. I'll admit I have not been everywhere in Colorado, but the area around Denver and the Rockies is really heavenly.
The western half of Colorado is where all their postcards come from, true, but Denver is a weather-beaten town ... and it shows. Not near enough money is spent on maintenance and their freeway system (design) is tragic.
Ever since my youth, I dreamed of going to Colorado to see all that beauty. I was pretty disappointed ... at least in the eastern half of the state. I did get a kick out of seeing the Big Rock Candy Mountain ... just north of I-70.
