What is the biggest/loudest explosion you have seen/heard? (TV or movies don't count.)

    I served 3 tours of duty in the US Marine Corps, the loudest I've ever heard was a toss-up between artillery fire or tanks firing. Thankfully, it was always outgoing and never incoming.

    I watched a building being demolished by implosion.  We watched from a parking deck a safe distance away.  It was fun to watch.  I haven't heard that many explosions.

  • It probably seemed louder than it really was because it blew up at about 10:00 pm.  It was loud though!
