Did you lose 2 decades?  Because that's how long ago he died of cancer.

    ???

    At least 2 decades.

    Ha!!
Darn you, Shar to the Rona!!!
    :)
Here I was all ready to post the same exact song!! What is that saying about great minds?
    :)

I'll just add for everyone to listen to the chorus of this great song, if you haven't heard it - - it occurs the first time at 0:40 mark -- ". . . Where is my John Wayne? . . ."

I forgot how much I like this song . . . and Paula Cole's entire album! This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at July 10, 2017 11:47 AM MDT

  • Seems to be a lot of innuendoes that people get tired of. Not exactly sure what the problem is, although I suspect. This place is just too small to keep it going without seeing the elephant(s) in the room. Got me?

  • Got you... I'm not usually logged on in the mornings , but I know it's bad then. Sometimes I just fake that they are music questions when I come across them :) it's a shame it pushed them off. I like them both very much.

Forgive me for interrupting but I'm getting the sense that a lot of good people have left due to so many spammy questions being posted each morning. Which is a shame because this place has a lot of potential. It's just light on traffic. I guess the powers that be don't see a problem with it- unfortunately.

  • Yes , I've only been here about 6 months or so. I left an other site for reasons I won't go into, but  In my opinion worse than the political spamming because I can ignore it or play with it. But a lot  of good people came over here when I did  That would have been an asset to this site , IMO. But they left because of the "elephant in room."They're more "daytime online people" and couldn't tolerate the spamming. It's a shame .

It is a shame. Especially since people on in the daytime are basically sitting ducks. I remember being on sites where users were limited to 10 questions per day. People might not like that either but at least it would help stem the tide.

  • Not sure if you got to know Rooster or Angela. ( the two that just left site ) They were both moderators on the last Q&A site I was on. I left when they did. They always allowed freedom of expression but they would not allow old site to be flooded with same question worded differently over and over. So I guess we were spoiled having them as mods and was a shock to many to see it allowed here. I do like this site, and I understand " the poster" of the constant political posts is a long term member and she has a right to Her opinion. The part I personally don't like and many others is how rude she is to people who dislike her posts or have a different opinion than her. I personally despise Trump. I'm not American, but I have been to D.C. Since he was elected to protest him. She assumes everyone who doesn't appreciate her posts is automatically pro Trump. nope, we'd just rather not read same farking thing over and over and over again. She needs a freakin twitter account . IMO :)

  • Not that most would care, but I'm almost there myself. You either can't find your question among the barrage or get belittled for having such a thought. Go through the Mugger list and you will see many of the really good members who no longer post. You may ask, why am I still here? I'm here because of the few that I enjoy the interaction with.

  • There were other things that were allowed on here that were horrible. I was a mod at the time and had a really hard time with it. The pics were finally removed, but it took a lot to get that done. It was really bad.

I agree with Both you and Jamie.  I came here originally because Ask.com closed.  I went to other sites as well because of Rooster and Angela.  I just didn't fit in there.  I like it here for a couple reasons but the main reason I stay is because of my friends here (this obviously included the two of you ;) :).  Every site has their quirks.  I can get in touch with my other friends by means other than the other sites they choose to be on.
I've gotta run to work but I hope you both have a fantastic Monday and hopefully see you tonight :)

  • DUH!! Now I know what you are talking about. Didn't realize Rooster left. That really saddens me, he was great. How many more are we going to lose before something is done about it??

Guess what I'm struggling with is at what point does a site stop allowing the needs of the few to run roughshod over the needs of the many? There's got to be some attempt to at least balance the scales. Especially when there's sufficient evidence to suggest that not doing so is having adverse effects on the site.
