That is not what he said.  At all.  "a" wealthy businessman does not necessarily indicate that all WB's  are a part of this equation.  

I think he is SPOT ON.    It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to gain entrance to heaven.

The "a" used in this context implies a collective whole, as "all wealthy businessmen are con artists."  

ok.  I'll let you have that.   But the humor of it is what you are letting escape you, just to be nitpicky.

The idea is that Businessmen who are wealthy, inevitably turn out to be scoundrels.  Titter Titter.

Enough of them ARE (just like Catholic priests) notorious enough for this rumor to take hold.

Corrupt priests? No way!

And?   There are even corrupt judges and prison guards and cops too.
