I have always put the benefit of the other person before my own popularity.  Meaning, if they will benefit by tough love, I will give tough love.  I am not a people pleaser.  But I do not get off on trying to be a hard ass either.  I want people's feelings to be considered always, but sometimes they will use that as a shield so they don't hear the truth and see the light and maybe get better and not be sitting in some crap they need to move on from.

Of course, however there are those who won't understand the difference between unkind,

brutal, cruel and violent. They are not all the same. 

Unkind CAN under the right circumstances and intent, product a building up of a person.

Brutal, cruel and violent will only produce a tearing down and death on many levels. 

Slow or fast it is still death of the body. 

For me, I was born into a violent world and will be more than happy when the Lord finally calls me 

home.
