I'm a bit sad tonight but I don't intend to fall into a sappy stuper.

Honestly, not much. I'm really a complete sap underneath all the sarcastic wit.

I said sappy, not mushy. I'll get tender with you later, just get in line.

Are you a Joshua Radin fan? He's on tour right now with Rachael Yamagata and Brandon Jenner. I went to the Phoenix show and it was amazing. The venue was super small and they all hung out with us after. They're not just talented artists- they're seriously nice and friendly people. So rare.

Definitely a fan! I think he's almost always on tour, hehe.  I've gotten to see him a couple of times at a little clubs like that and I agree 100%... super nice and friendly. I'm not familiar with Rachael, but I can definitely see why he's touring with Brandon... his sound is similar and he seems like a nice guy, too. I'm going to google right now and see if they're going to be touring near me!

lol I think Joshua does play live a lot. I only got a minute with him, but there's definitely a sense of connectedness about him. And, if he writes a song about eyes in the next year or so, I'm calling dibs on it. We shared a moment of intense eye contact. I think he likes me. *coughs* Either that or I fan-girled him a bit too much and he was debating whether to call security. One or the other.

Yeah, Brandon and Joshua have very similar sounds. I didn't know Brandon before the show, but his stuff has a peaceful, hopeful vibe. I'm a fan now. He also played barefoot, which I thought was kind of cool and earthy.

There was a period in the 90s when Rachel got more press. The radio versions of her songs are beautiful, but the live versions... they seem more emotionally-charged and powerful. A lot of her stuff is about breakups and unrequited love- you can really feel it when she sings. You might know this one.

Hehe! Definitely call dibs on any "eye" songs!

I had heard Rachael without realizing, she's done duets with Ray Lamontagne and Jason Mraz that I'm familiar with.

I don't get sappy. I would have to turn into a sugar maple tree for that.
