Well if we can call garbage men Sanitation Engineers, we can find a glamorous name for any smelly, dirty, stinking job.

Same here.  It's just that we have sunk to a new low in hiding the truth.

Just give it a new name that sounds clean and shiny.

Your view of politics is so one dimensional. Russians are individuals whose views span the political spectrum just like any other nationality. To see actions taken by one individual as being the actions of the Russian state is completely without basis.

Natalia Veselnitskaya is linked to Fusion GPS, a company that tried to manufacture dirt on Trump. They were behind the phony piss gate scandal. So she is probably a leftist operative. She promised Trump Jr dirt on Hilary but didn't give him any. It was clearly just bait to get the meeting. It's another nothing burger. It's simply a pretext for fake news headlines. The question involved "a hostile foreign government."---I doubt you will find that many of the individuals that comprise that government have "views that span the political spectrum" as you suggest.

Whether Trump Jr. actually "got" any information, his whole reason for attending the meeting was to see what such information might be available.

If you schedule a meeting with a guy who says he's a drug dealer to see what he has that you might want to buy and the dealer doesn't show up, you can't legitimately claim that you wouldn't have bought anything from him even if the drug dealer had brought drugs with him.

....Well, you could claim that, but the jury wouldn't buy it.

There is no evidence the Russian woman he met with is an agent of the Russian state.

Dealing drugs is a crime. Talking sh*t about Hillary isn't. You can't call something a criminal conspiracy if no crime was committed.

Talking to Russians is no crime. He has every right to pursue his interests. It's normal behavior. Russia is not the enemy.

It's in the interests of the U.S. for Hillary Clinton to be exposed for the psychopathic **** she is. Therefore Trump Jr has committed no offense.

No response to my comment on your suggestion that their is a diversity of political views present in the current Russian government.  I assume you stand corrected then?

    But I digress---

    Good morning
Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.
The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.
This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.
What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?
I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.
    Best

Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I am on the road at the moment but perhaps I just speak to Emin first. Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer.
    Best,
    Don

How about 3 at our offices? Thanks rob appreciate you helping set it up.

(There is no “Crown prosecutor of Russia”---the reasonable analog is the “attorney general.”  The point is that this was being presented to Trump Jr as an initiative of the Russian government.)

The meeting was presented and scheduled based on it being with an "agent of the Russian state."

In my analogy, Trump Jr would have been purchasing and using the drugs offered for his own purposes (you might say "pursuing his own interests), not dealing them.

("Russia is not the enemy"---no point in my commenting on that.  Your words---and in a word, incredible.)  True, talking is in itself is no crime; and that's why he's being investigated to see if that talking actually amounted to conclusion, i.e., secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others.

And you need to look up "psychopathic"---and hopefully try to avoid amateur diagnosing of politicians in the future. Also, there are a number of 4 letter words that would fit into (****). and since I have no precise awareness of exactly where you fall on the "crass (lacking sensitivity, refinement, or intelligence) scale,"  I will give you the benefit of the doubt and substitute one of the least offensive nouns possible.

No. Your comment is irrelevant since I never asserted diversity within the Russian government, just among Russians in general. Though there are factions in everything.

I'm sure the Russian government did support Trump, why wouldn't they? So what? Trump spoke openly about improving the relationship, Hillary was hostile and threatened to start WW3. The implication that Russian support somehow delegitimizes Trump is nonsense. Russia is not the enemy. It is a potential ally in the fight against globalism. The real enemy is within.

The question is not whether Russia supports Trump, it's whether they took direct action to aid him. I couldn't care less either way. I see this as normal politics. Foreign influence is an inevitable consequence of global communication and Hillary got massive aid in her campaign from foreign agencies.

If Russia had material that could help Trump they wouldn't need to talk to Trump Jr at all. They could simply release it. The fact that no material was released and the connection of the lawyer to anti Trump propaganda is evidence that this was a setup. Yes, this was presented to Trump as coming from the Russian government, though there is no evidence that it actually was. Either way it doesn't matter. There is no offense committed.

The information was presented as being genuine, not propaganda, so you have no basis to accuse him of trying to deceive. Even if this was a organized attempt by Trump and Russia to deceive it DOESN'T MATTER. Politics is full of deception (usually on the left) though it's inseparable from free speech. Cracking down on deception would cause virtually every political statement to result in a court battle. Maintaining a free society requires that we just let the people make assertions without fear.

I stand by my assertions. Hillary is pure evil and whatever 4 letter word springs to mind is quite appropriate. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at July 17, 2017 2:00 AM MDT

  • If you Trump cultists could for once focus on the subject at hand rather than bringing up a failed presidential candidate or a former president, that would be greatly appreciated. It appears that you have nothing of true value to say when you create this type of diversionary commentary.

It's too bad really because trumpanzees are so focused on everyone else, they fail to see the bloated orange pig standing right in front of them, defecating on their country

  • Is there any evidence concrete or otherwise, that proves there was any collusion? I think not but it makes the liberals happy spewing that fake news. What is the number one, real and present problem of and danger too the Constitution and the freedoms of the law-abiding citizens of America? The Liberal Left Democrats and everything associated with them. Do the homework. The new Liberal trend is domestic terrorism.

Just a short time after Trump’s presidency we've seen a lot of action. Mostly it was carried out by the so-called anti-fa and of course the liberal media. Peaceful protests and freedom of speech, people who state their opinion and are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in, people who don’t fear their government — all this is a part of the MSM narrative that looks pretty nice. Just one thing: nothing about it is true. It’s not surprising though. News channels like CNN and BBC both make a long history of biased reports based on poorly checked facts.  If only they bother to bring any facts at all.

But all this doesn't matter since they claim they oppose fascism. It all sounds great and no one has questions but if you look further you’ll find out something is wrong here. First of all, anti-fa groups are not enthusiasts who devote themselves to fighting fascism as it may appear. They are far left extremists and anarchists who right now are trying to take over the streets of America, claiming they confront fascism. But I have a couple of questions here. why are police officers the people they have confronted the most besides the Trump supporters of course. We already have the liberal left Black lives matter movement who call for killing cops.

Democrats had lost the battle for the White House but it doesn't mean they will leave their attempts to get it back. It’s not a secret to anyone that Wall street moguls like Soros own news sources and decide what you are granted to watch. I don’t think having their friends from the Democratic party kicked out of the Oval Office made them happy. This is why mainstream media became an outright anti-presidential campaign and mobs financed by Soros are attacking anyone who dares to speak up against them.

It’s an outright oppression of free speech and the presstitutes on the TV screen shove their lies down your throats telling you how peaceful protests "suddenly" turn violent. Have a look at anti-fa and try to convince yourselves these guys are not looking for a fight. What’s happening now is an overt attempt to overthrow a legitimately elected president using violence and intimidation. Just like in Hitler’s Germany. So, if you see someone who claims to be a part anti-fa movement be sure you’re looking at a domestic terrorist and a far left extremist who hates free speech and gets paid for oppressing it. I said it once and I'll say it again, the Liberal Left Democrats are the real and present danger to the United States of America.

  • Is this the same type of evidence that has been entered before and proved to be nonfactual?  The same rhetoric the left has tried since Hillary lost the election? This should be interesting.

Nothing wrong with it. Do you believe that Clinton would have turned down information about Trump because of the source?

Nothing wrong or illegal about it.

I'm guessing you are totally unaware of the laws pertaining to this type of conduct in such elections.

He could have done everything the left is accusing him of and it is legal.
The only way it would be illegal is if he helped with the criminal hacking of the DNC.
But just getting information from a foreign government (even Russia) is not illegal. Perhaps you should learn the laws before accusing someone of a crime.
It has been ruled that information is not a "thing of value" in terms of election law.

I can't speak to the legalities of what is and isn't collusion but opposition researchers in both parties say that taking such a meeting is neither normal nor standard operating procedure. And any misdeeds by Clinton that might have been mishandled doesn't change that. Past bad behavior does not excuse present bad behavior, regardless of the party.

Correct. Two wrongs don't make a right. The typical response to a question they don't want to answer is to bring up someone else on the other side who did the same thing or something similar. It is not an answer it is just a diversion for those who are automatically programmed to do that by rote. They have nothing else going for them but they feel they must participate so they prattle on and on about that which is irrelevant and think they've really given a great answer. Such is how delusion works among the intellectually limited. Thank you for your reply LO.
