"There's something addictive about Donald Trump. People just can't quit him". Is Trump seductive/mesmerizing?

Is there a black magic appeal so deep and enticing people simply cannot break away from the man? I don't see it but many millions do.  What could it possibly be that attracts them like a magnet and keeps them solidly attached like glue? Any idea?

  • Gee, I don't know, Rosie. There has to be something to explain your fascination/obsession with him. Maybe there is and you've fallen under his spell.

Well, the consensus is that YOU are.

I don't think most people give a crap about who is president.  Most people don't even vote any more.  Why bother?

It's a bad joke, voting.   I am hardly obsessed with him.  I am more obsessed with people who think having this piece of garbage leading our nation is harmless.

It is not harmless.  He is ruining the country day-by-day and that is hard to turn away from.

    What next?

Perhaps tRump's appeal is his success.  He gets beat up on his gambling casinos in N.J., then comes roaring back. His golf resorts are first class. I could never afford them. I'd still lose my balls. (golf balls)

I dunno bh. I keep trying  very hard to understand the hold he has on his supporters. It seems to me it is based on emotion more than intellect. No disrespect intended here. The supporters are intensely and passionately loyal to him.  No matter what he does or says they defend/support him. You could be right of course. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday m'dear! :)

There's nothing addictive or attractive about him.. it is more a reflection of how shallow and pathetic people can be when they get a sniff of money or power.. they are willing to sell their souls to be near that...

I dunno sweetie. It seems to me that it's based PURELY on emotion. His supporters are passionately devoted to him. It doesn't matter to them what he is or what he does/says. They will not abandon him. Now that is not logical so I ascribe it to some deep-seated emotional hold he has on them. What that is I probably will never understand.  I think it's a lot more than just money. Think about the people he has insulted, the elementary and awkward command of the language. The lies he tells. The denials and accusations that are all hot air. There is never any there there where he is concerned. Eloquent he is not. Much of the time it sounds like gibberish. But his supporters don't care.  So there is something else going on there. Thank you for your reply Addb and Happy Saturday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at July 22, 2017 3:42 AM MDT
