    Are you including the 1.3 million active duty military members? Their average pay is far less than the average you quote, as is my Navy pension.

    I have no idea Ele. I'm not the source of that stat. I just Googled it. I asked what the average pay for a government worker was in 2017 and up came the stat for 2015. I assume the military was included which means that some folks are getting paid an enormous bundle of bucks, right? They're not all foot soldiers you know. You got your Generals. I don't know how many there or what they are paid but I'm sure it's above minimum wage. Thank you for your reply! :)

    I cannot say where I got this info, but an auto assembly worker in the U.S. makes $46 per hour including benefits. Let's see ----- 46 x 40 hours =1840 x 52= $95,680 per year.
