Do you think the Robot in Lost In Space secretly wanted to kill Dr. Smith?

Let's face it.  Dr Smith was annoying af.  I don't understand why no one in the Robinson family offed the guy, or at the very least, just leave him behind on one of the planets.  I think the robot wanted to kill him but Will Robinson was a sorry sap, had too much of a conscience, and programmed the robot to do no harm to the old b*st*rd.

It was a Russian Roulette kind of thing.  No choice.  If I had, it would have been Penis and Penis.

Very true.  At least I did.  Honestly, I thought they all deserved to die.  John & Don, were pretty f*cking stupid for scientists.  They could land and blast off planets on every episode but couldn't find their way home.  Then there was Maureen & Judy.  WTF did they bring to the table but good looks.  Then there was Will.  Smart kid but he had a soft spot for Dr Smith and refused to program the robot to kill the old b*st*rd.  Morons, the lot of them.

It may be due to the fact that you never sleep?   I've been to bed and am up once more  and you are STILL here.

I normally don't have that much time to spend here anymore.  But I was completely wired last night.  Got about two hours of sleep.  I expect to crash again soon.

    Robot:  Danger, Will Robinson, Danger

    Launching the Jupiter-1]

Major West: And the monkey flips the switch.

[Why the others should believe his warning about the spiders]

Dr. Zachary Smith: Trust me, Major. Evil knows evil.

Penny Robinson: Never love anything, kiddo, you will just end up losing it.

Robot: It sounds like old morse code.

Will Robinson: What does it say?

    Robot: Danger, Will Robinson, danger.

Penny Robinson: [to her diary] On this eve before she is torn from all she knows, kidnapped, hurled into deep space against her will, what thoughts fill the mind of the young space captive?

Will Robinson: Will there be boys on Alpha Prime? Whatever will I wear?

Dr. Zachary Smith: You'll forgive me if I forgo the kiss, my sleeping behemoth. But the time has come to awake.

Robot: Robot is on-line. Reviewing primary directives. One, preserve the Robinson Family. Two, Maintain ship systems. Three

Dr. Zachary Smith: What noble charges my steely centurion. Sadly I fear you have far more dire deeds in store for you.

Robot: Robot is on-line. Reviewing primary directives. Two hours into mission destroy Robinson family. Destroy all systems.

Dr. Zachary Smith: Now that's more like it. Farewell my platinum-plated-pal. Give my regards to oblivion.

Merlin:  Harry needed to be added to this cast.

And I would also like add, NOBODY CHOKED.  Choking needs boundaries.  Space has none.   We are all "Lost in Space."
Harry, you are brilliant when it comes to finding a fun spin on a tough subject. :)  Ya-whooo!!

You're right Merlin.  I am brilliant and I would have made a wonderful addition to the cast.  Except I would have killed every one of them for being so annoying.  I would have spared the monkey. I  did like him. *bloop* *bloop*

I suspect Dr. Smith was on board because he was a major player in the scientific world. ( I never saw the first episode)
