Did you have a toy as a kid that turned out to be dangerous?

Most all my toys were later found out to have lead paint. 

Moon shoes.   Kids were breaking ankles and legs.

This thing, believe it or not.

I wet the suction cup and stuck it on my eye and pulled and it almost pulled my eye out.  It was filled with blood for about a week at least.

I was a genius even at 4 years old.

A football. I broke the hell outta my arm playing football. So I took up a much safer sport ------ motorcycle racing!

"Certainly!"  An adventurous child can make most any toy dangerous.

Bicycle ... crashed and tangled-up my leg in the frame. Couldn't walk for about three days.
Yo-Yo ... head and eye injuries are inevitable.

Very many. I had the original clackers that were made out of glass, had bruises all over my arms from these. I had a wood-burning kit that I used unsupervised. I had a chemistry set that could have caused a lot of problems, and quite a few others that I really can't remember right now.
 

Lawn darts

I remember playing with these before everyone realized how dangerous they could be? Do they still make them?

Jarts -- (or lawn darts)

You threw them high and far to get them in the ring
