I filled the carton back up for them.  I made it myself!

Umm no, but there's a story behind what made me think of this question.  My brother always put empty milk jugs back in the refrigerator.  When I was a girl I wondered what human milk tasted like so I was going to try to find out.  Nothing came out but my brother came downstairs that morning and caught me trying.  He asked what I was doing and he said Don't let Dad see you doing that.  Then dad came in and asked what I was doing so I told him I wanted to find out what human milk tasted like.  I had the empty jug that my brother put back in the refrigerator.  My dad was at first dismayed that my elementary school teachers were failing to properly teach human biology and then he asked what I was planning to do with the milk so I told him I was going to put it in the jug and put it back in the refrigerator for later.

My brother never put an empty milk jug back in the refrigerator again!

Mom should have thanked me for that lol.  I got him to stop doing what her getting on his case about it couldn't get him to stop doing!

They have to actually throw away the carton and that means walking to the garbage can and if the garbage is too full, they have to take the garbage out.

    Lazy people do this.

If you mean that canned stuff, I agree, but it is great in baking.

That's right. My step-son confessed that's why he used to do it.

I think it's genetic but there may be medication for it.  It is the  epitome of laziness which is something I loathe.
