A popular and well-respected prez will get more done than one who isn't. The Donald's base love him. Does anyone else?

He's had a really bad few days. He has no power to influence or inspire. Is it because he is a pants on fire liar?

    A president that panders to the center is not more popular / respected, just less hated.

    A president is not measured by how much they get done. Politics is about standing for what is right. If people lack the wisdom to see what is right, they deserve what they get. If you win, you win. If you lose, you lose.

    Defeat is disappointing but it has a silver lining. It gives the enemy the opportunity to fail and sows the seeds of future victory. 

    It is almost certainly the destiny of western civilization to collapse in ruin. If it is too weak and stupid to do what is necessary, then so be it.
