How many "hats" do you wear and what are they for?

I only wear a hat when I'm out on the water because I don't like to mess up my hair :) one time when I was out on the water for extended period of time I got a sunburn so bad on my face I had blisters under my eyes:/ . So I wear a hat for protect my skin. Skin trumps hair. 

I own about a dozen hats,but this is the one I wear the most. Why is obvious.

I own a few baseball caps. I wear them occasionally when I go out, mainly because I like the look. Otherwise, I don't wear them often. I also own a beanie that I wear when it's colder; it's especially helpful in protecting my ears from biting cold when I go biking during the winter. 

I have two hats, neither of which do I wear.  One is a black velvet Garbo hat and the other is a baseball cap.

On one side of the question...two.
One for teaching Meditation
and one for being a contractor 
to pay the rent...
     On the other side of the question
I wear one hat (baseball type) to keep the hair out of my eyes,
and to block the sun from my eyes and, since I have
a very low ceiling with LED lights, to block the glare of the lights
