Massage Envy is not a place I've ever returned to after my one experience theirthere. My wife and I went for a couples' massage; it seemed like we were products on an assembly line. Not that we were passed from one employee to another, more due to the fact that it was so impersonal and business-oriented/money-oriented. It was almost like going to a car dealership; too much get-'em'-in-here-get-their-money-and-get-'em'-out-of-here. I don't think I'm explaining myself very well here, because of course it's a business and it's supposed to be business-like atmosphere, nonetheless, I won't be back.
As for other massage places, I've had a much better perception. ~

I've never been to a chain spa. My one and only massage was in a beautiful Italian-looking (architecture) spa which was owned by an individual. I think I've told you about the horrible experience the massage was. Anyway, I do get my feet massaged when I get pedicures. I love that.
