Are you alright?

Wow!
I'm tired and need to go to sleep because I got home from work late, but I am surprised to see that a few people are on Answermug.
It's 2:30am Canada time.
Why are you still awake, what time is it there and are you alright?
Thanks and good night.

Not everyone is on Eastern time.  I know for a fact there are people from California, Australia and other places that are in different time zones.

  • Thanks, so then my next question would be "During the day I see people from the other side of the world on Answermug, isn't it 2:30am there and are you alright?"
    I guess when I can't sleep I go online sometimes too. : )

Some folks don't have to get up early to go to work, so they say up late; some people can't sleep so they go on line.

AM is comprised of people in all different time zones, on all different work/social/sleep schedules, with all different physical/mental statuses.

    You do the math.    ;-)

  • That's pretty wild.
So a person sitting at their desk at work in the morning wide awake could very well be engaged in a heated conversation about Trump with a person who's on the other side of the world sitting in their underwear at 3am half asleep?
    LoL, the internet is funny.
    : )

Sitting in their underwear at 3am, half asleep, with a tinfoil hat on their head. The possibilities are endless.

  • LoL!!
Maybe they are actually in a heated debate about Trump with Trump?
He likes to go online in the middle of the night and tweet his thoughts. : )

I just woke up.  When I am here in the middle of the night I usually cannot sleep.

Sometimes it is a harmless reason, sometimes it is a nail-biter.

    Thanks for caring.

  • Aww...I know how you feel, I guess?
I used to have nightmares about my ex cheating on me and I would wake up every night in the middle of the night and just lay there depressed.
It went on for months until I started drinking before bed just so I sleep through the night, but then I started drinking too much so I had to stop that bed time routine, avoid seeing her and try to think of other things.
Thankfully I can finally sleep now..
Is it the middle of the night where you are right now?

I am on my way to be tested for a job that I want badly.  I have to do a massage on the boss and it is nerve-wracking to think that if I do not pass this, I have no job there.

    Uggggh   A waking nightmare.

I'm glad the boyfriend is not in the picture.  You need to concentrate on you, not on some jerk who is yanking your emotional chain.

I am not judging.  I have BEEN there, trust me.  I am so tired of giving my power to other people.  I am trying like heck never to go there again.

You know what?  Unless Pence and a few others are in there with him?  It matters little.  It would be worse if he was jailed and Pence took his place.  It never ENDS.  LOL

  • Wow, massage huh?
That's cool, I thought about trying to do that as a profression because I like to make people feel good if  I can.
I've never actually gone for a massage before.
It's kind of a dream if mine.
Good luck with your job interview, I hope you get it.
You're totally right Trump is just the face of a bigger machine.
Paul Ryan, Pence and the Republican Congress would still be there no matter what.
It's kinda sad, but not really my business as a Canadian I guess?
Anyway, you still think I'm a woman huh? LoL!
    I'm actually a 37 year old man and I'm a dad.
I hope it doesn't affect how you thought of me.
You said some really sweet things about me on a different question that made me feel good about myself and I appreciated it thanks. : )

Getting up not a problem just that there are so many other wonderful things I could be doing.
Actually I am retired new but last job was working for a drainage company. Lotta heavy labour digging and stuff.

  • Wow, that does sound like a lot of work.
I've done a lot of manual labor myself and I still have a long time to go before I could ever retire.
There is so many wonderful things a person can do with their time other than work.
    I hope you have a wonderful retirement. : )

That's the double-edged sword of working from home and choosing your own hours. When stuff happens in life, I tend to skip work, but it piles up and still has to be done. My aunt went into hospice on Monday and passed away on Thursday. I am remarkably at peace with it because she was at peace with it. Anyway, I'm skipping the funeral. Not up for the family drama and I'm not even sure it's logistically possible for me to go anyway. I was up late last night trying to catch up on work, but I tend to take little breaks between things to Mug.
