    I think it's more than that.. we humans are designed, for the most part, to be social creatures, to live in groups...  So I think there's good stuff we can have from just being around others. To have someone(s) to share life's journey and life's experiences... to care for others brings benefits to us too, and to be cared for. I think we somehow up our game when we are around people...

    How do you explain hermits and loners Addb? Are they dysfunctional? There are times I need to be alone. I do not want to engage with anyone. I am not open to it. But having solitude forced upon me 24/7 would not be good either! I don't need as many people in my life  as some folks do. I don't know why that is. Thank you for your reply Addb! :)
