Sure, I went and stayed with a friend in another state that I met online a couple of times.
No way, I spend enough time with you two on line.
Just kidding, of course I would make room for you. and God help the neighborhood if we all got together.

Some years ago, a girlfriend from my old chat group that was passing through my state on her big move to Florida, came and stayed with me for a few days. We drove upstate to meet another good mutual friend of ours. Glad I did it because that friend of ours was dying and only had months to live.
I did eventually lose touch my friend after that site closed down. Our lives just went different directions, but it was sort of cool to meet.
I met 3 people who I met online when they visited my home. I knew these people for many years, communicated online, on the phone and in letters and cards. One I considered like a mother, one like an older sister and one is the daughter of my heart.
I have a handful of online friends who I have not met YET, but would welcome in my home anytime. They are very special friends who I consider as part of my family. These ladies have been there through my illnesses, heartbreaks and joys.
My husband would be wise enough to put some bail money aside. He always knows when we are online together. I am laughing and snorting like a zoo animal sometimes.
I place the blame squarely on you and the other cohorts for making me behave like that.

I remember that and seeing those pictures! You also got to meet a friend that is no longer with us. Life is so fleeting, so make memories where you can.
I met two from SH who visited me here and the one I visited from another site. It was great meeting them, there are others I would like to meet as well.

Some of our online friends really do become part of our real lives. It's only natural to meet up if the opportunity comes around. :)

I have made some very dear friends online. I talk to and text with several regularly. One that had previously visited me is planning to come again this year.
