We see the beauty of the check-and-balance system of government in action. It checks the damage the prez can do as it should. GOOD! Right?

The pols are asserting their authority. They neither trust nor respect the current prez. They are FINALLY putting country above TV personality and acting responsibly. What the TV personality will do matters not. What he CAN do is limited/twarted/challenged. As it should be. Thank goodness.

    Still early days though Rosie. The GOP is certainly not filled with Captains Courageous. McConnell and Ryan sure as heck don't fall into that category. Plus Cheeto Benito still wields a great deal of power and has the capacity to do a lot of damage. But it is nice to finally see some small victories in this fight against insanity.

    I have hopes(not high yet) because of the following m'dear. Congress passed a VETO-PROOF Russian Sanction bill which prez kvetched about but signed. Military ignoring his "ban" on Transgenders and gave support to them. Kelly assuring Sessions his job is safe. 3 Republicans shooting down repeal and replace. Kelly firing the Mooch. Jeff Flake speaking up and out about prez despite his being Republican. Threats to prez if he should dare fire Sessions or Mueller. "Holy he** will break loose" said one and others have said a Constitutional Crisis may occur which could bring down the presidency. Constant leaks the most current of which were TRANSCRIPTS of telephone conversations early in his presidency to the leaders in Australia and Mexico. A very good sign Donald  T is surrounded by underground resistance.Ryan is a cipher. Milktoast wimpy spineless bad actor. His days are numbered. McConnell gave up on healthcare and ignored the prez entreaties to keep trying. In desperation prez blames Congress for bad relations with Russia. Blames his Generals for Afghanistan. He is flailing badly and there is no EPT person in his corner. Just more like him only not as overweight or old. I do have hope. For now. Thank you for your reply Lyric! :)

    I wonder how quickly you'll forget the wisdom of dividing the powers next time a democrat is in office.
