Was the actor riding it Chill Wills or something like that? Donald John is way fatter/heavier but I bet we could get straps big enough to secure him to it. I can see it in my mind's eye tom. It WAS funny as he** in the movie. I wonder if we would laugh in reality? Thank you for your reply! :)
Slim PICKENS was the man riding the bomb in "Dr. Strangelove". That is an old movie. I saw a video of it. Advocating killing anyone for any reason is barbaric.
With respect... the world tends not to agree on that point.. The slipping in terms of world respect started before that and has continued. There are stats that show a slight recovery under Obama. (I don't have them to hand) In other worlds.. no matter what you guys thought of Obama, (and bear in mind your opinion isn't universally held even among your own people). The world felt Obama was a steady and respected hand at the helm. The world sees Trump as a rabid, raving lunatic. And much as some don't want to accept it that IS the case.
The problem comes, I think, from the isolationist mentality that afflicts a goodly part of America. The insular thinking and not knowing, nor caring what's going on in the rest of the world leads them to be out of touch.. The standing joke that most Americans couldn't find India on a map etc.. stems from this.. Personally I think that's unfair as there are MANY Americans who are totally not like that.. but sadly the fact that most Americans don't even have a passport is significant.. The upshot, is, I believe a large part of the phenomenon whereby many Americans DO seem to still feel they are world leaders and that the rest of the world looks to them with respect... I am afraid that isn't the case and merely believing it doesn't make it so... I accept that such is the belief that mere facts and telling it as it is seems not to register with such people.
So one more word about Obama.. He didn't much like Britain... he was quite rude and stand offish about the UK, even tried to threaten us.. We laughed at that but we DID respect him and his leadership.. I am afraid the truth is that pretty much no one here repects Trump - we think he's an imbecile with the language skills, (and probably the mentality) of a retarded 4th grader.. Just saying
How do you know what the world believes? Appeal to popularity is illogical anyhow. Who do you imagine are my "own people"? I am from Ukraine. Russia invaded us a few years ago. I have been in the USA, Italy and France some. I never was in England. America author Mark Twain wrote that there are three types of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics. I have seen the same statistics twisted to support both sides of an issue. I do not trust your sources. You claim to speak for the world and for my country Ukraine? I do not accept you as such a universal spokesperson. I have heard about London's Muslim mayor, and about Muslim terrorist in England. Italy and Japan have closed borders now, and I have friends in both nations. I do not feel safe in England, Germany, France and Sweden. I hope trump can stop the Muslim jihad. You would probably allow it. My American friends mostly support trump and dislike Obama and Hillary. They are more reasonable that you have shown yourself to be.
How do I know? Many of your own fellow Americans know..and they know the same way as I do.. cos we take an interest and keep up to date with world events and what's going on.. we receive news from all round the world. we talk to people from all round the world.. Some Americans determinedly don't they prefer to just believe they are world leaders and respected.. I am not sure they want to know the truth.
LOL stats that cannot be trusted include that while we have, indeed, had 3 terrorist attacks in the UK and people were killed and that is just awful and lamentable but in terms of numbers killed you should realise that every month more people are killed in America from shootings ALONE. That's without stabbings and other murders.. So.. when someone says something like that because of 3 terrorist attacks... 2 in London one in Manchester.. that's a total of 3 and represents a TINY proportion of the rest of UK in terms of location... Then one would have to examine the reality of your *opinion* about the UK being unsafe..
You would surely be aware that in terms of numbers France has suffered way, way more - and no I am not happy about that either.. just pointing out that while you are entitled to your opinion... it really isn't based on facts.
Re Ukraine.. well yes,... that's not exactly been immune from killings has it? Not nice, not at all but one would have thought logically that would be a far less safe place to be..
While you are being so self-servingly sanctimonious about being in the US.. do bear in mind you are clearly one of the lucky ones.. you are white you were allowed in... you were of a religion not discriminated against.. there but for the grace of god go i as they say.. but I doubt you understand what I am getting at here.

FWIW MY American friends despise Trump... and let's face it those who support Trump are of a minority and frankly there are questions about their ilk..
All that aside.. while I am very fond of debating.. there's really no point when one of the parties is so fixed and illogical that they feel safer in a country where more people get killed every month than the sum of terrorist attacks.. well there's clearly no point..

You act as if it is some Wild West movie. I have heard about much more than you admit. Your stats exaggerate the USA and diminish the UK, so it is biased. I have never been to England. I have no desire to go there. Russia invaded Ukraine, so I was unable to return. It was not safe. Read my comments and see I told that several times. I have some influential friends in Italy, Japan and USA. please spare me about religious discrimination. You allow Muslims to take over. This mayor is biased for Muslims and does not belong in such a position. Upholding him only increases your problems. My American friends are fine people, so stop defaming them. Trump was elected, so face it. My American friends mostly dislike Obama and Hillary. Your American friends are mindless Lunatic Left drones like you. You are not logical just because you say so. America is fine. It's stock markets are going up. They also went up during the last administration. So all is good economically. Trump hasn't been in there very long, so if there is a current problem in your eyes, it may be leftover from the O'Bama years.

I do not a want war, but Russia made war. I did not know Britain followed Ukraine into the recent war upon us. I was a refugee, and friends from Italy, Japan and the USA helped me. I do not know any British people. You make many unfounded assumptions and use bad logic.
I am Ukrainian, and I have been in Italy, France and the USA for a while. My American friends are glad that Trump beat Hillary and replaced Obama. They thank all of the electoral college and citizen voters for making such a wise choice. The Lunatic Left hates him passionately for some reason. I suppose their pet media is arousing them.
