The only time I can recall sending something back was because the bacon wasn't cooked enough. Otherwise I just eat it. Now if I were allergic to something of course I'd say something. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday tom. I like my bacon very crisp..not flexible. The bacon I was served looked as if it had spent very little time in a frying pan! :)
I would never make a big scene. That would only guarantee that they'll spit in it. Plus, people make mistakes, I'm not going to get angry. But I will kindly tell them that it isn't what I ordered.

I don't. Sometmes I'll get the complete wrong order going through the drive through and I just eat it anyway, I don't care. Sometimes I get way too much food and I just eat it. My ex wife was another story. If there was anything incorrect at all she would send it back or go into the place and get what she wanted and give a few dirty looks to the staff as well. I used to say to her "Aren't you scared that they'll spit in your food or something?" She seemed to kinda like to give people sh_t though? I just eat it and go on with my life, but that's just me??

Me too Truthseeker. Of course if I were allergic to it I wouldn't eat it and I'd tell them that very politely. I don't like to give anyone sh**. In fact I have apologized to cashiers for the rude treatment they received by customers ahead of me. I think there is no excuse for that. Anyone who gets his/her jollies being mean just for the halibut is not my cuppa tea. Yours either I gather. Thank you for your reply!
I used to work with a guy whose wife was always fussy.. he said that when they went on holiday, or visited a hotel/restaurant - he would stay in the car and let her go in on her own. The reason being that she would very often go in, inspect it and then say - we aren't staying here.. So he got used to never assuming they had arrived anywhere as the chances are they wouldn't be staying and would be moving on.
Interesting chap... he also had a huge list of chores he was given... and he always did them...
As for me.. I'd mostly just eat it... I am probably the least fussy person there is.. unless it was something I truly cannot bear.
Geez what a pain in the keester for him! Why on earth did he stay with her? I don't even know her and I can't stand her! I only sent something back once. The bacon was barely cooked. Otherwise I eat it. If I were allergic to it or couldn't stand it I'd say something. Very nicely and politely and quietly and extra sweetly. Thank you for your reply Addb and Happy Monday to thee! :)
The server usually will ask if everything's alright. If there's a problem, I'll be up front about it and often the result is an attempt to make it right. I married a waitress and I have a soft spot for them. Just last night, we were out and something was left off the plate that should have been there. We were able to set it right. If not, I would have enjoyed it the way it was and not thought any further on it.
I don't like to make scenes nor make people feel uncomfortable. I eat what I'm served. Now if it were something to which I was allergic or something I really disliked I would say something very quietly and politely. Otherwise it's no problemo! Thank you for your reply G and Happy Monday to thee! :)
If a restaurant did ever bring some food I did not order, I would immediately tell the waiter to take it back and bring what I ordered. If a restaurant did that often, I would not visit it again.
