Mid nineties...........my company used to rent the entire Six Flags Over Georgia one Saturday per season and employees and their families could go in and ride everything as much as they wanted. I took my kids and friends a couple of times. That's the last time I believe. I doubt I ever go to another one; it's no fun in hot weather with long lines. Plus I don't think I could handle the motion of the rides anymore.
I think I went to Opryland right before they closed it down in the 90's. It's a shame....they thought tearing the park down and building a mall would attract more tourists. I HATE Gaylord!!
I mean, when I travel the first thing I want to do is go to a mall........................Geesh! Is the mall a tourist attraction now?
A friend of mine and I took our five kids up there once and it was very nice. Not too big to do in an afternoon/evening, lots of shows the kids could go in and enjoy. I had a scary time on the roller coaster because I let my younger daughter ride it next to me and she probably wasn't big enough. She could have easily been thrown out and I held onto to her with one hand and the lap bar (which was not even close to her) with the other. She thought it was fun................I think I cried when the thing came to a stop.
