Time was girls and women just stuffed tissues in there to make 'em look bigger, but if you prefer the neti-pot, fine. (Folks, I've always known that Karen was weird, but . . . ) ~
I used to use one daily, probably for about four years. I then read not to use water that had not been boiled for purification since the water goes into your head. I don't do it routinely anymore but if you go out during flu season or go to a doctor office or are otherwise exposed to a communicable disease or infection, using a neti as soon as you get home can keep you from getting sick. I used pink sea salt with mine and found the benefits to be worth the couple of minutes the process took.
