    We are going to get a new pet...it is currently a very baby puppy and we are waiting for it to be old enough to come live with us.. My daughter named the baby dog California before it was even conceived :P  Cali for short...  We are all soo excited.. it's been quite a while since we had a dog in the house

    I'm excited for you.  Lyrical and Carbon and I all love animals and it makes it easy to post pics like that amazing Golden Retriever there. I would HATE to have that dog because when it died? I would grieve Bad.   I know the experience would be worth it?  But still.   It's hard to part.

    I'm thinking of another parakeet.

    It's all I can afford or take care of. 

    And they are great pets. 

    Anyway I'll name it :

    Since two are dead and I have six:
    Old School and I came up with Seven of Nine.

    If I buy another it will be the ninth but only seven are here to tell the tale.

    Well, he certainly would like to hear that even though I don't think he would admit it.  I mean he would be happy to know you said nice things?  But he cannot admit he likes it here.

    Ahh there are so few tongue-in-cheekers on here.   That's because we are all on all parts of the world so we don't get each other half the time.  I love it.

    I have always had them.  I have had pet rocks.  I just did not have the inspiration and the business head to think about this.  I have done a lot of out of the box things that wound up catching on, but I have never made any money out of it. 

    I even had a pet onion.  It was called Schnotzle.   I had him for a couple of years before he finally died out.

    Carbon.  Let me set the stage for you.

    I am on here reading on the home page all the answers that are easy to see.  I see your answer up here and no picture.  I'm thinking "Oh that is really amazing.  She's getting a fish and she realized what a cool name that would be for a fish.  Gee, I'm thinking still....I never realized just how pretty that name is, Lyrical One.  I mean who thinks of her that way.  She is just our nut friend. 

    Then I get on here and see this picture.

    A gerbil, I'm going to call it "Trump's hair".

    Seriously we have a zoo already, there's no room for any more pets. Two dogs, three cats, three tree frogs, two cockatiels, a couple fish and a yabby (crayfish). The fish and the yabby are in an outdoor pond, I've never had any luck with indoor fish.
