You are correct, that I don't believe in any deity.
Partially because I was raised in the church and taught their beliefs.
And I see no difference between god of the OT allowing (say) the Babylonians to kill and enslave millions of Jews to punish them for not following his wishes ... and allowing the Nazis to do the same. "God" gave that land to the Israelite. Perhaps He got tired of using all other persecutions of them in other lands to hint that they need to go back, and decided to step up his game.
Or maybe it was his way of hinting to the Jews that they should convert to follow Jesus?
In either case ... there is no more proof otherwise, than there is of the existence of said god in the first place.
