Of those you've heard, what album/s would you say is/are the best you've heard, from the first song to the last?

I'd choose:

Mad Season  "Above"

Shriekback   "Big Night Music"

Carly Simon  "Coming Around Again"

The Alan Parsons Project  "The Turn of a Friendly Card"

R.E.M.   "Around the Sun"

Simple Minds  "street fighting years"

~ if you haven't heard any of these, I highly recommend any and all of them
:)

    Icehouse, Man Of Colours

I preferred Eye in the Sky to The Turn of a Friendly Card - both were good albums.

You're right -- Eye in the Sky is great, too.
    :)

Thanks for answering, too, Slartibartfast - - I still need to listen to Icehouse more than I do.

  • I don't usually listen to whole albums ... I would pick R.E.M. Out of those options though. I bought the album soundtrack to American graffiti this morning ... I LOVE IT! So good :)

  • I've never seen that one movie:) I was looking on YouTube And stumbled on soundtrack. I bought the album on iTunes for Under 6 dollars :) I love it so much today :) maybe not tomorrow but that's okay cos was same prices as coffee at starbucks and I don't drink coffee there so it all evens out. I figure I saved 5 million dollars buying that album instead of a carmel maciadia.... or what ever that is called.

Interesting video -- looks like from a movie, as the titles at the beginning and end say. The girl has a nice smile.
    Nice music!
    :)
Thanks for answering even though you don't listen to whole albums.

  • It is from a movie. The movie was called "The Child and The Fox,"  whereas the song was called "The Fox and The Lady."
In the beginning of the video, it is credited along with the album the he borrowed the song from.

I did answer your question. The album "Mystic Islands" by Cusco was my answer. Sorry it got buried, I guess.

I see you answered with that album now! Just the order I read your responses scattered it all wrong in my head.

The various songs from this album that you've posted and I've listened to - - I think I would really like this album, too. There's nothing I've yet heard that I haven't liked.

I've never listened to this one all the way through. I'm not much of a Springsteen fan.

I agree with you on Carly Simon.  I liked everything on In Square Circle, Stevie Wonder as well.  There are others but that one came to mind first.

I'm not familiar with a lot of Wodner's stuff. But what I've heard, I've always liked, except for that "I Just Called to Say that I Love You"

Yeah, and that Carly Simon album -- nice!
    :)
    Thanks, Thriftymaid!

This one. In pre-digital days, I wore out two of this album.
