Recreational fishers are certainly subject to bag limits in Australia, to prevent overfishing. Fishers are subject to random inspections, and breaches are met with fines and confiscation of catch and equipment.

So random inspections coupled with "the honor system"?  Do you fish Sbf? I went with a friend surf casting once upon a time long ago when I was a teen. He caught a few fish from a Ventura, California beach. I caught nothing but I sure had fun learning how to cast the line! It was a beautiful day and I never had a clue that it could be that much fun. There were other surf casters up and down the beach. None as excited as I was. They were old timers at it and I was a Newbie. Never went fishing again and I don't know if you can really call surf casting as we did on that beach fishing. Deep-sea fishing though. That would be real fishing! Thank you for your reply and the info! :)

Depends on what is being hunted or fished. But generally yes, there is a daily limit and/or possession limit.
    Game wardens enforce limits.
