Examples:

Bring home the bacon. 
The young airplane pilot was a real hot dog. 
It's kind of cheesy not to pay your debts.

    No, Thrift. That is a simile and happens to be a description.

    If you say noodle- head, then it is okay.    If you say use your noodle, then okay too.

    But limp as a noodle  is comparing it TO  a noodle's limpness,  and this is not using the word to mean a non-food.  It is using a food to compare the subject that already is already probably  a non-food. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at August 24, 2017 11:52 PM MDT
