What are some expressions that include a food item yet have nothing to do with food or with eating? ~



Examples:

Bring home the bacon. 
The young airplane pilot was a real hot dog. 
It's kind of cheesy not to pay your debts.

    Lol, many folks speak languages other than English, you know. Some of them speak another one as their primary language, mon amie.

    I still don't know what you're on about. Fish tacos are a delicacy here (Southern California). Zest is not. 

    I'm not saying you're wrong about zest, I'm only saying I'm not familiar with it except as a soap brand.
