Would you rather go to jail for one year or remove your pinky finger?

I won't sacrifice one year of my life, so have to say fuck the pinky, though I'll miss it :(

I'm not sure. In this little scenario you've dreamed up, exactly where do you imagine my finger is stuck?

They can take the pinky. I'll just use the other one to pick my nose.

I would not survive a year in jail interacting with all of those jail people.   I can't even be in a semi-private hospital room!  As a pianist I would hate to lose a finger, but I would have to unless I could negotiate a private room in jail.  I would consider it then.  Couldn't I just stay in my little room and read and write all the time?   Still, 365 days is a lot of waiting.
