Do you think Amazon will draw more people to Wholefoods by lowering prices on lobster and avacadoes?

Jeff Bezos, who owns Amazon, recently bought the chain store, Wholefoods. Wholefoods sells organic foods. Their prices are higher than stores that don't sell all organic foods. Bezos is now in the grocery-store business, along with books, student loans, and other endeavors. Avacadoes and lobster are two foods that people really like, but that are more expensive. I guess you might consider them "luxury foods".  Bezos is hoping to attract more customers to his new business by selling these items for a cheaper price? That is, cheaper than other stores sell them. Do you think it will work?

Not really. It might draw me into the store for a one-time purchase, but my choice of grocery store is based on many factors: Convenience; quality; overall prices rather than one or two items;parking; service, etc.

If he lowered the prices on EVERYTHING, maybe.
Where I live we have one just down the street
but they are so expensive on everything,
rarely shop there. Prefer to drive a few miles to a Safeway
where the prices are much better.
    .....Sometimes their prepared food
and soups are pretty good, which i do check out,
but even to go, they are just like restaurant prices.

I do not buy my clothing on Rodeo Drive.  I will not buy food at some store because it is more expensive.

Bezos seems to have the Midas touch so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it worked.

Too buy lobster and avocado...but why would anyone pay more for other products.
I buy from Amazon but only if they have the better price.

Bezos doesn't own Amazon.  He is CEO.
