Do you support giving cops military gear to use during protests? Why?

    Generally, I do not like protesters because they are often protesting against the things I admire or at least tolerate.  Let's take nuke plants as an example. To me, they are a necessary evil. Sure it would be great if we could get by with just wind generators, but that isn't practical yet. Natural gas powered electric generating plants seem to be the current choice of electric companies and they are fairly clean burning. Back to the question ------ yes, the cops all have bullet-proof vests, helmets and shields so they can fight off the violence. Once in a while, they have tank-like vehicles with water cannons.     Gotta do something with all that military equipment they have been given. It's probably all been used on civilians before anyway.
